This one I had done, but I guess I never wrote a post. Hence the helpfulness of numbering our posts.
Advantages to tagging:
--it's good for organizing posts
--it's useful if you want to go back to something that is buried months ago in a blog
--it provides viewers with hints about what may/may not be relevant to them
Disadvantages:
--the big one to me is the lack of standardization in the tagging which varies by who tags the item
Hmmm, librarians have long been organizers of information, but on the web everyone organizes according to their own thinking. This is part of what makes it such a vast space that has good, bad, shallow, deep, superficial, thought provoking, interesting and endless possibilities. In 10 years will we be looking back at this a laughing at the "primative" Web 2.0?
